Stress and tension build up through out the moments and days of our life. This build up blocks us from fully experiencing the moments in front of us. It also creates an overwhelmed feeling within. This 15 minute practice will melt away that stress and tension. Allowing you to breathe with ease and move freely. A great practice for all levels newest beginner to most advanced yogi.
The core is the most important part of our body when it comes to ease of movement. When our core is strong and open we move easy and free. Muscles of the core stabilize us as we stand tall, as we sit, basically in almost any movement. This yoga practice will guide you to strengthen those core muscles and lengthen them for ease of movement

Yoga is an amazing practice. It creates a space for us to open up, let go and breathe. Sometimes yoga is the only time we allow ourselves to relax. So when we enjoy yoga in the morning this can become difficult to balance energizing and relaxing on the mat. I know you want that relaxation from the chaos of life and still have energy for the day...
I have had a ton of questions about natural allergy relief lately. I have put together this video for you about some options in natural allergy relief. I use essential oils and yogic breathing to relieve my allergies. I will discuss them both in Wellness Talks today.
So many of us place the weight of the world on our shoulders. And then we physical feel that stress and tension weighting on us. Take 20 minutes here to open up that space. Let the weight roll off and release the tension in the neck and shoulders.
Yoga with little ones can be so fun! They are certainly squirmy no matter how exciting you make the yoga postures so don't stress about keeping them still. You will see in the video below that my little one doesn't stay still for long. It is great to start them young, yoga can have profound benefits for children as they get older. A solid introduction can give them the tool to deal with stress and anxiety instead of bad behavior.
In our world today we walk through life with so much placed on our shoulders. In every aspect of life we can feel cluttered. Cluttered with thoughts, cluttered with choices, cluttered with physical possessions, cluttered with events….To feel free in life seems impossible with all the clutter. Its time to let go of the clutter and free ourselves.
As the New Year approaches we all get ready to set resolutions for the year, resolutions for things we feel need to change. although we set these resolutions its rare we actually "accomplish" what we set out to. Why is that? It because resolutions place pressure on us.
All the cheesy goodness of mac and cheese, just the thought has my mouth watering. It’s one of my favorite comfort foods. Not to mention the kids love it! Actually mac and cheese is one of the only things I can get my one year old to eat.
Salads are my thing, I actually crave them. Crazy, I know. I love to experiment with different dressings, giving the same old classic salads a new depth of flavor. My favorite of the moment is Dill Vinaigrette.
The holidays can be a crazy time...so much to do with so little time. Overwhelm comes quickly this time of year. Trying to find the perfect gift, parties here and there, baking and cooking. How do we let the overwhelm go? We let it go by remembering…
Ever notice that when we get hurt or when something doesn’t go our way we feel that negativity so strongly and it sits on our heart much longer then all the positive moments life has brought? We as human hold on so tightly to hurt, to what has gone wrong and then we forget all the good that has been and is right now. It’s called dwelling. Dwelling on the hurt, the negativity instead of seeing what’s real. This is hardening our hearts and keeping us from seeing all the light around us.
Gratitude has the ability to pull us out of our deepest darkest places because it helps us see the light. It helps us see the beauty that is right in front of us. There is always something to be thankful for, to appreciate even in the worst and hardest moments.
I was totally impressed by these muffins and their sneaky healthiness. And the kids loved them…Mom Win! Usually pumpkin muffins are pack with sugar and have a base of white flour, these muffins much different. I am always looking for ways to get veggies into the kiddos since they oppose them at all costs.
Curiosity killed the cat…or did it? Did you ever question that? Why not? Who said it must be true that being curious is “bad.” Curious actually means eager to know or learn something. Let’s think for a moment…Learning is good, its great so its time to get curious, to question, to explore.
I’ve got two kids, one under a year and one over. I’ve got two dogs, one puppy and one adult. A house and a husband to care for. Let’s not forget taking care of myself and oh yea my business! Now that is a lot to take care of in just one day. And some of you reading this have more on your plate and some of you may have less. Either way it doesn’t matter we all have the thought of how do I make it through the day without going crazy and pulling my hair out…how do I check everything off my list…How do I accomplish things.
I happen to come from a family of extremely picky eaters. As a child I was one of the pickiest. Now that crown has been passed over to my brother. As I began to try and help my mom jump into healthy eating one of her biggest struggles was to make meals everyone could be happy with. So I came up with these three ways you can make healthy eating work for everyone.
Are you incredibly busy? Do you want to eat Healthy? Great me too! I used to say “I’m just too busy to cook and have healthy meals.” Guess what I was wrong, shocker! Today in this post I am going to tell you how I do. Eating healthy can be overwhelming. It is totally worth it though.
As I sit here think of the conversation I just had with a dear friend I can’t help but wonder why we are so mean to each other. So many of us chose to use words towards each other that are put downs, derogatory, and plain mean. This particular conversation we had was about a facebook post on a big topic around children. No need to give specifics as I am not starting a battle between right and wrong. I simply want to express how saddening it is that still in this day and age we are shaming each other.
I feel like if you asked a group of people if they were up for Clean eating you would get maybe one or two people to say yes. This is because there is this shadow lurking behind those words “Clean Eating”. Even I myself thought woah seems like too much for me to dive into. Nobody has time for that I thought. Then of course I trained to be a Health Coach and learned what it actually meant to Eat “Clean”.
The word Healthy diet can be daunting. And it is often overwhelming too. It doesn’t have to be difficult though. It can actually be quite simple. You want to start small and grow into healthy eating. When I first dove into healthy eating I wasn’t sure I wanted to do it. It seemed like too much and it seemed boring and horrible. Then I did it anyway and I was pleasantly surprised with what healthy eating was and the plethora of healthy options. As I took on this journey I found 4 keys to beginning a healthy diet.
When beginning to eat healthy I had many second thoughts, many questions, and many times second guessed my choice. There were many foods I looked at and said no way. I was very closed minded in the beginning. Once I started to try foods I began to realize how much I had been missing out on. Here are some of the foods I struggled with in the beginning.
